The App Army get a hands-on experience with Castle Creeps, a classic tower defence game with modern crisp graphics.
This is a really well-made tower defence game with fantastic graphics and character oozing throughout. There are daily quests to keep you entertained if the gameplay itself is not enough and a hint of RPG elements as well.
However, there’s nothing new here. It’s just another tower defence that doesn’t really do anything different to the many others currently available.
I can comfortably say tower defence games have ceased to be interesting, but this one has more to it. The charm and nice graphics make playing this one more enjoyable than most games in this genre.
You are not allowed to place units anywhere but rather in pre-designated building points – a standard feature of most tower defence games.
Overall, the game has charm and is free so there’s nothing to lose by trying it.
This is very similar to many other tower defence games out there but it has a nicer feel. Anyone new to the genre will probably have a lot of fun playing, but veterans won’t discover anything groundbreaking here.
The App Army is Pocket Gamer’s very own community of mobile game experts. Each week, we provide them with a bunch of free codes and early access to the hottest upcoming games so they can provide their thoughts in features like this.
